Basic skin care is important to a youthful appearance and glowing complexion. Your skin will take care of you if you take care of it. If you choose not to have good skin care bad things could happen; examples are, you won’t look great and you could get diseases.

If you want beautiful skin, alpha-hydroxy treatments may be just the thing for you. These types of beneficial acids are found in milk, fruits and some wines. Alpha-hydroxy will desegregate protein bonds on a cellular level and help dead skin release from the body. By breaking these bonds the dead skin cells can be scrubbed away and healthy, glowing skin will be revealed.

Following a workout or physical activity, you must always bathe or shower to wash away sweat. A shower will remove all traces of sweat and bacteria which can cause irritation and clog your pores. Use warm water to open up your pores and clear them out.

Use a makeup sponge to apply your sunscreen very effectively. It helps to spread it evenly and it doesn’t give you time to feel its sticky or greasy texture. Dab the sunscreen onto your skin with a sponge to help it get into the skin and ensure it all gets in.

Avoid alcohol if you want to improve your skin condition. Although drinking in moderation is fine, understand that alcohol causes oily skin and can increase the size of your pores. This means your pores will get clogged very easily, and your skin will break out and look unhealthy because of the extra oil.

It is important to remember to protect your lips too. Winter air is often quite dry. Lips can become dry and cracked if they are not kept moist and protected with lip balm or some other moisturizer. Cracked or chapped lips are painful and unpleasant to deal with.
